Octopus?

Wow! Am I behind or what? I haven't added anything since July. And soooo much has happened! No excuses, just busy. I have not taken the time to write down my precious memories like I wanted to. Here's to making up for that.
Recently I found a recipe on Pinterest. That's one of the reasons I haven't posted anything :) The recipe was for a delightful looking concoction of hot dog sections with spaghetti noodles running through them. Yum. I knew when I saw it that it had J.O.'s name all over it.  This is how it works. Slice hotdogs up into sections. slide several sticks of uncooked spaghetti through each piece of hot dog. Drop the hot dog/spaghetti into boiling water and cook til tender. J.O. was here and I made sure he didn't see me fixing them. When I had them in the bowl I called him to supper. I said, "Guess what we're having? Octopus!" He looked long and hard at it and said, "I'm not eating that." I encouraged him to try it, telling him how good it was and how much he would like it. He did finally touch it and even tried to pull its "legs" off. I finally gave in and told him what it really was. He was tickled and ticked all at the same time. He loved how it looked and couldn't believe that Granma got him! He talked about it all night and yes, he ate it all. I am so thankful for such fun times and memories.
